Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Swaddle ("Swaddle," "we," "us"), operated by Saas Studio LLC, handles information when you use the Swaddle app for iPhone or Android (the "App") and our website (the "Site").

Information we do NOT collect

• Your baby's cry audio. When you tap to listen, the analysis runs on your phone (Apple's on-device sound analysis on iPhone, an on-device sound model on Android). The audio is processed in the moment and is not recorded, saved, or sent to us or anyone else.
• Login details. Swaddle has no sign-up. We never ask for a password. The App creates an anonymous account on its own so your log can sync.
• Location, contacts or messages. The App does not access them.

Information the App stores and syncs

• Your baby log and profile. What you log (sleep, feeds, diapers, pumping, solids, growth, temperature, medicine, notes and any photos you attach), your baby's name and birth date, and the first name you give yourself. This is stored on your phone and synced to our server (hosted by Supabase) so every caregiver in your family sees the same log and it survives a new phone. Only phones that joined your family with its invite code can read it.
• Device details for sync and alerts. A random device ID, your push notification token and the App version, so we can send partner alerts and Live Activity updates you turn on.

Information we collect to run and improve Swaddle

• Usage data. Which screens are viewed and which features are tapped, tied to a random ID for your install, plus the answers you give during onboarding (for example your baby's age, how they feed and sleep, your age range, your relationship to the baby, how you are feeling and how you heard about Swaddle). This helps us fix problems and improve the App. Handled by Mixpanel, and by Superwall for the paywall.
• Purchase data. Whether a subscription or trial is active, received from Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and from our paywall provider, Superwall. We never see your full card details.
• Web checkout. If you subscribe on a Swaddle checkout web page, payment is processed by Stripe through Superwall. We receive your email address and your subscription status so we can activate and support your subscription.
• Support emails. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.

Advertising measurement (iPhone only)

The iPhone App includes the Meta (Facebook) and TikTok software development kits, so we can measure whether our ads lead to installs and subscriptions. They receive app events such as the App being installed and opened, onboarding being completed, and trials, subscriptions and purchase amounts.

• If you allow tracking when iOS asks, these events can include your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).
• If you do not allow tracking, the advertising identifier is not shared. Meta and TikTok may still receive the events in a form that does not identify your device, for aggregated measurement.
• You can change your choice any time in iPhone Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.

The Android App does not include advertising SDKs and does not use your advertising ID. Your baby's log is never sent to advertisers.

The website

The Site's calculators and tools run in your browser. Numbers you type into them are not sent to us. The Site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the Site.

How we use information

• To run the App: your log, nap forecasts, sync between caregivers, alerts and backup.
• To understand which features help parents, fix problems and improve the App.
• To manage subscriptions and answer support requests.
• To measure how well our advertising works (iPhone, as described above).

What we never do

We do not sell your information. We do not record, upload or share your baby's cry audio. We do not share your baby's log with advertisers. The App does not show ads.

Service providers

These providers process data for us under their own privacy policies and our agreements with them:

• Apple and Google - app stores, subscriptions and payments, on-device sound analysis.
• Supabase - database and file storage for your synced log.
• Mixpanel - product analytics.
• Superwall - paywall, subscription analytics and web checkout, with Stripe for card payments.
• Meta and TikTok - advertising measurement in the iPhone App, subject to your tracking choice.
• Vercel - website hosting and invite link pages.

Where data is processed

We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Data retention and deletion

Information stored only on your phone is removed when you delete the App. Your synced log is kept while your family uses Swaddle, so it can come back on a new phone. To have your synced log and family deleted from our server, email us from the address you use with Swaddle or include your invite code, and we will delete it. Usage data is kept only as long as needed to run and improve the App. Purchase records are kept as long as required for accounting and legal reasons.

Children's privacy

Swaddle is meant for parents and caregivers, not for children. The App stores information that parents enter about their baby so they and the caregivers they invite can see it. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Your choices and rights

• Turn off tracking for the iPhone App in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
• Remove caregivers from your family in the App.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have additional rights, including the right to object to certain processing and to opt out of the use of data for advertising measurement. We will not treat you differently for using your rights. Email us and we will help.

Security

Cry analysis happens on your phone, synced data is encrypted in transit, and we keep the information we hold to what the App needs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what we hold.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
